Helping entrepreneurs achieve their ambitions is at the very heart of NatWest’s business proposition and we are committed to supporting enterprise through a range of services including  our partnership with Entrepreneurial Spark and the bank’s Women  in Business Ambassadors. Encouraging entrepreneurship is important for the recovery and growth of the UK economy and women have an important role to play.
Entrepreneurial Spark is the world’s largest free business accelerator for start-up and scale up businesses and has provided free support, mentoring, and networking for over 650 businesses in 13 hubs, (known as Hatcheries), across the UK. Run alongside partners NatWest, KPMG and EMC, the programme aims to inspire and enable positive social change through the action of Entreprenuering. NatWest provides office space for the Hatcheries as well as in-house support and advise to the entrepreneurs, (known as Chiclets), taking part in the programme.
Established in 2007, NatWest’s team of Women In Business Ambassadors was created to support women as they start up and grow their businesses. The original team of 12 Ambassadors has grown to more than 200, helping around 100,000 female customers nationally. NatWest has introduced teams of Specialist Women in Business relationship managers who are undergoing a formal accreditation programme with Everywoman. NatWest is proud to support female entrepreneurship and to grow a vibrant SME market with supporting events, networking opportunities and awards.
